Latasha Battie-Jones-Founder/Administrator
Latasha is the founder and administrator of Leading Lady Elite. Latasha has over 20 years of experience in informal after-school programs focusing on academic, recreational and enrichment activities. Currently, she is the Director of Community Schools for Chicago Youth Centers where she develops, manages, and oversees several 21st Century after-school programs within CPS. Latasha is a statewide trainer for the Illinois Afterschool Network and a published author. She is a great wife and loving mother of two young adults, one who plays collegiate basketball.

Head Coach Jasmyn Jackson
Coach Jas proud alumna of Jarvis Christian University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Texas Southern University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Studies and Sport Leadership. Coach Jas coaching journey began at an early age. From growing up around the game as a water girl in the Pro-Am Basketball League in Chicago, to playing for Simeon Career Academy—one of the top high school basketball programs in the country—basketball has been a central part of her life. Over the past five years, Coach Jas coached high school AAU basketball, led players in national tournaments, and worked as a basketball trainer and instructor. Coach Jas is known for her "Heart Over Height" mentality. Coach Jas is currently a PE Teacher at Highpoint East School in Houston, Texas.

Head Coach Devonne Carothers
Coach Devonne has over 20 years of coaching experience and has now been with the Leading Lady Elite for 3 years. Devonne has coached for Trend Setters, and Pink Lady Ballers and as a volunteer assistant coach for Gwendolyn Brooks High School girls basketball team. Coach Devonne believes in teaching girls fundamental kills to better prepare them for the game of basketball. Coach Devonne works with youth and young adults, is a husband, has 2 daughters, one of whom is a track star for the University of Georgia Dawgs; the other is a high academic student-athlete at Gwendolyn Brooks and a son.
